More About Sara

Hi, I'm Sara! (she/her)

As a therapist specializing in trauma and attachment-based therapy, I am deeply committed to creating a safe and nurturing space where you can begin to heal. My goal is to help you process your experiences, reclaim your sense of self, and own your power.

My approach: My mission is to create a space where everyone feels safe and welcomed--a place where clients can openly share their stories and challenges without the fear of being judged. I use Person-centered techniques in my practice because I think therapy should be centered on YOU! I also love to use CBT and DBT techniques.

As a clinician, I prioritize: I help clients build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate balanced, fulfilling lives. Healing the inner child is a transformative part of this work. Childhood trauma can leave parts of us stuck in painful moments, shaping how we feel, think, and act as adults. By connecting with and nurturing that inner child—listening, validating, and offering care we may have missed—we begin to heal old wounds and foster self-acceptance and emotional resilience. Healing isn’t about reliving the past, but about giving yourself the love and support you always deserved.

I also support clients in building healthy attachments and breaking cycles of co-dependency. Together, we focus on setting boundaries, addressing underlying fears or low self-worth, and cultivating emotional independence, empowering you to create relationships and a life grounded in self-validation and fulfillment.

I particularly excel in working with: (1) Adults and teens who have experienced and are striving to overcome anxiety, (2) individuals struggling with life transitions (3) people who may feel "overlooked" by society (e.g., individuals diagnosed with a chronic illness, neurodivergent individuals, sex workers, or LGBTQIA+).

My clients describe me as: Calming, humorous, and compassionate.

My favorite quote: "I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." -Carl Jung

3 Things I Love: I love old rock music, my dog (he's a mini goldendoodle named Bodhi), and writing.

Session Location(s): In-Office (Fort Lauderdale, FL and Sunrise, FL) and Online (via HIPAA-compliant platform)

1

(Adult) Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a safe and confidential space where you can explore thoughts, feelings, and emotions without fear of judgment. We'll work together to identify patterns that may be holding you back, develop strategies to help you move forward, and discover how family patterns and/or trauma may contribute to current issues. And don't worry, we'll have some laughs along the way - therapy doesn't have to be all serious!

2

Child/Adolescent Therapy

When working with children/ adolescents who have experienced trauma, my approach is grounded in empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of the impact that trauma can have on young minds. Through a combination of talk therapy, play therapy, and other evidenced-based techniques, I help my clients process their experiences, build resilience, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where young people can heal and grow, and I bring warmth, humor, and expertise to each session to help them feel comfortable and understood.

3

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a collaborative process that involves all members of a family. As a therapist, my role is to facilitate communication and understanding among family members. Through active listening, empathy, and evidence-based interventions, we work together to address issues and improve relationships. While the process can be challenging, my approach is warm, knowledgeable, and professional, with the goal of helping families achieve lasting positive change.

In compliance with the No Surprises Act, clients are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected costs for therapy services.
